Dividends is a personal portfolio application built, operated, and used by a single individual — Christian Sanchez (“I”, “me”). It has one user: me. It is not distributed to the public, has no user accounts, and collects no data from anyone other than its owner. This policy documents how the application handles my own financial data.
The application does not collect names, contact information, location, usage analytics, advertising identifiers, or any data about any person other than its owner.
Exclusively to display my own portfolio to me — current value, dividend income history and projections, cost basis, and returns. Nothing else.
Financial data is never sold, shared, or disclosed to any third party. The only external services in the data path are Plaid, which acts as the data source (governed by Plaid’s own end-user privacy policy), and Google Cloud Platform, which provides encrypted infrastructure.
Financial data is retained for as long as the application is in active use, to support historical analysis (income history, cost basis). Upon disconnecting the brokerage account or decommissioning the application, all stored financial data is deleted: the Plaid connection is revoked (via Plaid’s item removal), server-side datasets are destroyed, and on-device caches are cleared. As sole owner and operator, I can execute full deletion at any time, and this policy is reviewed at least annually.
As the application’s only user and the owner of the connected account, I consent to this processing. Consent for data access is additionally presented and granted through Plaid Link’s consent flow at the time the account is connected, and can be revoked at any time by removing the connection.
